Centenary Celebrations
Our Summer Centenary celebrations were fantastic. Many thanks to all who contributed – we had stories as far away as Canada!
We are delighted that it’s Friezland Primary School’s centenary in 2015 and we have a year-long series of events planned to celebrate the School’s founding in 1915.
Our memories wall is really coming along. Come to the fayre on June 13th to see if you can spot yourself in any of our photographs.
What else will be happening?
As well as the Centenary Events we will have a whole host of collectible memorabilia that will be available to purchase at all of the Centenary events, launching at this year’s Christmas Fayre.
As well as the collection of items to buy, we will also a limited edition print of School that has been specially commissioned to mark the Centenary as well as a whole-school photograph that was taken in October of this year.
‘Friezland Through the Years’ will be an evolving history of Friezland School over the last 100 years and a range of photos, histories and recollections will be displayed in School.
A collectible anthology book will also be produced and if you would like any photographs, stories or memories to be included then please send your information to Mrs. Meadham or leave a post on our Facebook page. The anthology will chart the development of the School from its humble beginnings in 1915 to the present day community School where learn with and from each other.
